Another go!
I am hoping to start back up this blog with more letters to my sweeties. Finding meaningful time on the computer is so hard for me and exhausting. I see all these incredible blogs that moms do and never can figure out how they do it! I have been keeping notes in random places and I have all these great ideas. But maybe now that the girls are a little older I can try this avenue again.
Dear Maya,
One of your teachers told me that you pulled out a stack of sticky notes that you had in your backpack and asked if you could read your story to her. She said it was a terrific story with great story elements. It was about people and sharing. You told her that the best part of the story is that it can change and be about anything that you want it to be. Everyday, I marvel at your imagination and how much Savannah has learned in that department. The topic of class today was "wetlands" and the craft was a beautiful fish that you made put of a paperbag and painted with an assortment of colors.
You have always been interested in letters and numbers. Recently, you are showing many reading readiness signs and your letter writing is superb. I have already noticed that sometimes if I spell things aloud to other people, there are certain words you pick-up on.
Love, Mommy
Dear Savannah,
Diego is a favorite character of yours. You love "rescuing animals in trouble" and walking around with your rescue pack (aka dog purse). You love role-playing and pretend play schemes with Maya! You are friendly and conversational.
